Develop a programme to meet your needs
Learning through Work programmes don’t often fall into traditional discipline or subject areas. Because customised learning plans are structured around your business needs they can cross subject areas and pull in learning from more than one discipline.
Listed below are just some of the specialist areas offered by our partner HEIs.
- Health and social care.
- Business.
- Finance.
- Information technology.
- Nursing studies & midwifery.
- Marketing.
- Leadership and management.
- Education.
- Engineering.
- Logistics.
With the help of an expert from one of the universities or colleges, you can design a programme that addresses the skills gaps of your employees and develops their personal, professional and career objectives. Learning through Work also offers shorter courses that do not lead to qualifications. The short courses do still carry credits, and the credits gained may be used towards a qualification at a later date.
As an employer you can also agree an appropriate learning schedule. Learning through Work is a different route to university level qualifications, it is by no means an easier route. All work is assessed as it would be in any other degree programme, and your staff will be required to complete coursework outside of the work place. Learning through Work, however, does not include any exams. So if you have staff who have never had the chance to get a degree in the conventional fashion, or you would like staff to work towards a postgraduate qualification directly related to their job, Learning through Work is the ideal way for them to study without leaving their job, and with maximum benefit to your company.
